Communicate 3.2.2 Differentiation Quest

I have decided to select a specific concept and post this on my class page for students and parents.  The same communication could be sent with a link in Remind101, but since the students are utilizing the class page, it makes sense to post this on the announcements or assignments part.  Giving students the choice about whether they need to see or hear a video showing them how to do something or whether they want to read and see it at their own pace, viewing simple lessons and examples, or if they prefer interactive methods of learning, where they can listen to a video, or watch someone doing it, and then see text-based examples and finally get into the interactive practice with feedback.  Then, when everyone meets for an online live session, or if students need to take a quiz, they will have used the method by which they can learn and the new concept will belong to them.

1.  Tonight you will learn how to simplify algebraic expressions by combining like terms.  Before you take any of the quizzes, please select at least one the following resources to learn how to combine like terms and simplify algebraic expressions. The three different types of resources are video, text-based, and interactive.  Choose a resource based on your preferred method of learning.  (Or you may look at all three - the choice is yours!)

2. Review the Softchalk Textbased Lesson 3. Take the quiz before you come to class tomorrow - if you score 80 or above, you will be allowed to participate in Sumdog math games tomorrow while we work on this in class.

3.  Interactive Practice with Holt Homework Help- There are videos, examples, and interactive quizzes
